Our words
have power

The Directorate of Equality launches a campaign to encourage people to reflect on the power of their words. Words can hurt, divide, and break down, but they can also nurture, comfort, and unite.

The campaign is part of promoting increased equality in Icelandic society and combating hate speech and its roots, such as prejudice, negative stereotypes, and the marginalization of minorities.

The campaign is developed with the support of the Prime Minister's Office.
